We are a very friendly group who meet once a month to discuss a book we have all read in the previous month. We have the books on loan from Fordingbridge Library so there is seldom need to purchase a copy. Most of the group have said that they come along because they felt 'in a rut' with their reading and wanted to be introduced to new material - even if it is outside their comfort zone.

We try to select a range of reading material, from short stories to complex novels and humorous novels to books that address serious issues. Occasionally we will throw in a non-fiction too! Frequently discussion of a book leads to discussion about much wider matters. We are a social group as well as our indoor book sessions we go out for local literary tours and lunches.
We have now been kindly invited to regularly meet in a member's front room or garden in Fordingbridge as it is central and large enough to space out. Recently we went on an outing to Winchester in the footsteps of 'A Single Thread'. We have also enjoyed going out for a pub lunch together.

Groups are only open to members of Fordingbridge and District u3a. For enquiries about membership contact the Membership Secretary
